Tesla Plans World’s Largest Supercharger: 400+ V4 Stalls Coming to Yermo, California

   Tesla is preparing to construct its most massive Supercharger project to date. Located in Yermo, California, this upcoming site will feature over 400 individual stalls. This scale far surpasses the current record-holding 164-stall "Oasis" site in Los Banos. The project expands the existing Eddie World station, which currently hosts only 22 older V2 and V3 units. Once completed, this desert stop will become a high-tech "EV Oasis" for travelers.

1. A Six-Phase Engineering Marvel

   Tesla plans to implement this massive expansion in six distinct phases. Construction is slated to begin in early 2026. The first phase will deploy 72 V4 Supercharger stalls to provide immediate relief to the area.

   Subsequent phases will gradually increase the stall count. The final total will exceed 400 units, all utilizing Tesla’s latest V4 hardware. Most of the charging arrays will run along Calico Boulevard, creating a massive charging corridor.

2. The LA to Vegas Strategy

   The selection of Yermo is a strategic masterstroke. It sits midway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas on Interstate 15. This route is one of the highest-demand corridors in the United States.

   Millions of travelers visit the Mojave Desert annually. Holiday periods currently create massive charging bottlenecks. Adding 400 stalls will significantly boost capacity and eliminate long wait times for Southern California road-trippers.

3. V4 Technology and Retail Integration

   Every stall will feature Tesla’s V4 Supercharging technology. These units offer longer cables to accommodate different charging port locations. This ensures that non-Tesla EVs can charge without blocking multiple stalls.

Tesla is also integrating extensive retail services. The site will feature a 10,100 sq. ft. Cracker Barrel and a 4,300 sq. ft. McDonald’s. A large convenience store and outdoor dining areas will provide comfort during charging sessions.

4. Future-Proofing for Cybertruck and Semi

   The site includes specific designs for large-scale electric vehicles. Pull-through stalls are included for the Cybertruck and vehicles with trailers. This layout ensures easy access for the Tesla Semi in the future.

   This project supports Tesla’s broader Robotaxi and long-haul transport vision. Once fully built, "Eddie World 2" will redefine the highway rest stop. It turns a simple desert exit into a futuristic EV hub.
