1. Project Overview: Innovative Tesla Hollywood Charging Diner

   Tesla’s innovative mixed-use project at 7001 Santa Monica Blvd, Hollywood—combining a Supercharger station, a retro diner, and a drive-in cinema—is nearing completion
Broke ground in September 2023, this Tesla Hollywood Charging Diner has drawn attention for its fusion of 1950s retro aesthetics with cutting-edge technology, embodying a true retro-futuristic design vision.

2. Retro-Futuristic Design

The project site was formerly a Shakey's Pizza restaurant and has been transformed into a two-story stainless steel structure.

Its exterior takes cues from the Cybertruck's minimalist futurism while seamlessly integrating '50s vintage charm
Inspired by the classic film Grease and the animated series The Addams Family, the diner will offer 24/7 dining, accommodate 77 outdoor guests, and feature both a bar counter and in-car cinema seating.

3. Dual-Screen Auto Cinema & Supercharging Station

The parking lot boasts two 45-foot (13.7 m) LED screens currently in test mode, streaming Tesla-themed content. Owners can enjoy movies from their cars or outdoor seats during the charging process.

Dozens of V4 Superchargers are installed, and users will receive station recommendations via in-car navigation or the Tesla App.

4. Tech Integration & Functional Optimization

Tesla merge charging and dining services by Tesla App/Car OTA. Once plugged in, users can place orders via their car touchscreen or the Tesla App, with automatic billing
A "meal-to-car" delivery feature—routing orders directly to each charger—may also be enabled, though final details depend on real-world operations.

5. Operational Preparations Underway

With external construction largely complete, focus has shifted to interior fit-outs. Tesla has posted openings for "Diner Experience Specialists" at Linkin, responsible for managing charging, cinema, and dining services, offering an annual salary range of $83,600 to $285,000
This hiring effort underscores Tesla's commitment to building a professional operations team for a seamless guest experience.

6. Evolution of Tesla Supercharger Network

Since the debut of its first Supercharger stall in 2012, Tesla's charging technology has continuously evolved—from prioritizing charging speed to integrating smart services, and now to extending charging into comprehensive lifestyle experiences

Tesla is driving the Supercharger network's transformation from merely a functional tool into a lifestyle destination.

7. Tesla’s “Charging+” Model: A New Lifestyle Shift

Tesla Hollywood Charging Diner marks a qualitative leap from "functional stops" to "experiential consumption."

From V1 to V4 hardware upgrades, each generation has reduced user time costs; now, the Charging+ concept unlocks infinite possibilities—from potential charging co-working spaces to charging retail centers.

Although the official opening date is yet to be announced, the presence of charging hardware, staff recruitment, and screen tests all signal that operations are imminent

If successful, this model may become Tesla's global blueprint for "charging + leisure" hubs.
