Tesla FSD v14.2.2.5 Released: New "Mad Max" Mode, Arrival Options, and 3D Supercharger Maps (image)

Tesla began rolling out the FSD (Supervised) v14.2.2.5 update in late February 2026. Part of software version 2025.45.10, this release initially targets AI4-equipped vehicles like Model Y, Model 3, and Cybertruck. This update introduces a massive range of improvements, from personalized driving styles to enhanced vision capabilities that make the system feel more human.

1. New Speed Profiles: Sloth and Mad Max

FSD now features reconstructed speed logic. It uses a multi-dimensional judgment based on driver profiles, speed limits, and surrounding traffic.

The right steering wheel scroll wheel has been redesigned. It now toggles between Speed Profiles instead of setting exact speed offsets. This gives drivers more granular control over how FSD behaves on the road.

New Profile

Driving Behavior

SLOTH

Lower speeds and highly conservative lane choices.

MAD MAX

Higher speeds and more frequent, assertive lane changes.

2. Neural Net Upgrades: Vision and Gestures

The neural network vision encoder received a major upgrade. It now uses higher-resolution features to handle complex driving environments.

Specific improvements focus on identifying emergency vehicles, road obstacles, and human gestures. The system can now interpret hand signals from traffic controllers or pedestrians. Furthermore, FSD is now more reliable at pulling over or yielding to police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances.

3. New Arrival Options: Precision Parking

The "last 200 meters" of a trip are often the most difficult for AI. The new Arrival Options feature solves this pain point by giving you direct control over where the car stops.

When creating a route, you can now select your preferred parking type:

  • Parking Lot or Parking Garage

  • Street or Curbside

  • Driveway

The system saves your preference for each destination. This ensures the car never makes an inconvenient stopping decision at your frequent locations again.

4. 2026 Model Y Hardware & 3D Maps

Owners of the newest Tesla hardware and frequent Supercharger users will see exclusive interface and maintenance upgrades.

For 2026 and newer Model Y units, Tesla added an Auto Narrow-Area Wash function. This efficiently cleans the front camera. It even optimizes the fluid spray at high speeds to maintain maximum visibility and sensor sensitivity.

Additionally, drivers can now view 3D maps of pilot Tesla Supercharger stations. By clicking "View Site Map," the screen displays the station layout. It also shows real-time status for available, occupied, or broken stalls.
