Tesla App 4.59.0 Update: Optimus Robot Commands, Custom Wraps & FSD Stats Are Here

Tesla just dropped Tesla App 4.59.0 — and it's one of the most feature-packed updates in recent memory.

From syncing your Full Self-Driving stats to your phone, to uploading custom color wraps without a USB drive, to hidden Optimus robot command strings buried in the code — here's everything you need to know.

Tesla FSD Stats Now Live in the App

Tesla owners can finally view their Full Self-Driving statistics directly in the app — no more digging through the center screen.

The stats panel mirrors the in-car UI exactly. That's because the app and the vehicle share the same rendering code.

Here's what the panel tracks:

  • FSD mileage percentage out of total miles driven

  • FSD miles since v14.2 launched

  • Consecutive days of FSD usage

And it's not just for newer hardware. If your HW3 vehicle has received FSD v14 Lite (currently rolling out), you can access the stats panel too — not just HW4 owners.

How to Upload Custom Tesla Wraps From Your Phone

The 2026 Summer Update brings a long-requested feature: uploading custom vehicle wraps directly from your phone.

No USB drive needed.

Custom wraps are stored as PNG image files, making them easy to share or save on social media. Here's how it works:

  1. Save your wrap PNG to your phone

  2. Open the Tesla app → Create → Wrap

  3. Upload the file — the app renders a live preview on your vehicle model

If you’re looking for more Tesla wrap inspiration, please visit our Tesla’s 2026 Summer Update article and see the “Upload Custom Wraps From Your Phone” section.

A few things to know before you try it:

AMD or Intel infotainment unit required

Optimus Robot Commands Found in the Code

This is the one everyone's talking about.

Code analysis of the 4.59.0 update revealed multiple command strings tied to what appears to be Optimus — Tesla's humanoid robot.

The discovered strings include:

  • Emergency stop and resume operation controls

  • Home data collection related phrases

  • Phone Key pairing flow for the robot

The Phone Key detail is particularly interesting. It suggests that Optimus may only respond to authorized users — similar to how your Tesla only unlocks for paired phones.

It's too early to say when this goes consumer-facing. But the groundwork is clearly being laid.

More Tesla App 4.59.0 Features Coming Soon

Tesla's code also hints at several upcoming additions:

Remote Display Brightness Control — Adjust your vehicle's touchscreen brightness from your phone — toggle auto-brightness or use a manual slider. Useful for Camping Mode, drive-in movie nights, or dimming the screen without walking back to the car.

Additional features spotted in the code:

  • Simplified Virtual Power Plant enrollment for Powerwall owners

  • Smarter location-based roadside assistance

  • New Robotaxi control features

  • Resources for Tesla Semi and Tesla Energy products

Stay tuned — Tesla typically activates hidden features in waves. We'll update this post as more details become available.
