Important Safety Notice

Before proceeding, please ensure your vehicle meets the following condition. Otherwise, the feature will not be available:

  • Car Software Version: 2025.44.25.11 or higher.

1. Safely Remove the USB Drive

To ensure stable data transfer and prevent recording interruption, follow these steps:

  1. Tap the "Settings" icon on the main touchscreen.
  2. Navigate to the "Controls" menu.
  3. Temporarily turn off the "Dashcam" feature.
  4. Open the glovebox and gently remove the USB drive from the port.

2. Obtain the Wrap Pattern File

Choose one of the following methods based on your preference.

Method 1: Download Pre-made Designs from a Community Website

This is a faster method to apply beautifully designed patterns.

  • Open the Tesla wrap community website in your computer browser
  • Select your vehicle model on the website, then browse and choose your preferred pattern.
  • Download the PNG file that meets the requirements.

Method 2: Create Your Own Design Using the Official Template

This method allows you to create a unique pattern.

  • Download the Template: Open the Tesla official template library in your computer browser
  • Select Your Model: Find and download the PSD template file corresponding to your vehicle model (Note: Model S/X templates are not currently available).
  • Design Your Pattern:
  1. Open the downloaded template file using Adobe Photoshop (PS).
  2. Import your chosen image and place its layer above the template layer.
  3. Right-click on the image layer and select "Create Clipping Mask". The image will now conform to the vehicle wrap area.
  4. Adjust the image position and size as desired.
  • Export the File: Adhere to the following format requirements strictly, or the car's system may not recognize the file:
  1. File Format: Save as PNG.
  2. File Name: Use English or numbers only (do not use Chinese characters).
  3. File Size: Must not exceed 1MB.
  4. Image Dimensions: Maximum 1024px × 1024px.

3. Transfer the Pattern to the USB Drive and Vehicle

This step is the same regardless of how you obtained the PNG file.

  • Connect the USB Drive: Insert the USB drive into your computer.
  • Create the Folder: On the USB drive, create a new folder named Wraps in the root directory (the first screen you see when opening the drive). Pay attention to the spelling and case.
  • Add Your File: Copy or move your prepared PNG file(s) into the Wraps folder.
  • Safely Eject: Safely eject the USB drive from your computer.
  • Reinsert into Vehicle: Plug the USB drive back into the glovebox USB port.

4. Apply the Wrap on Your Car's Touchscreen

  • Ensure the vehicle is in Park (P) for safety.
  • Tap the "Toybox" icon at the bottom of the touchscreen.
  • Find and open the "Paint Shop" application within the Toybox menu.
  • The system will read the files automatically. You should see all patterns from the Wraps folder on your USB drive listed in the wrap options.
  • Select your preferred pattern to preview and apply it to your vehicle's 3D model.
