As the weather gets colder, does your Tesla's energy consumption increase, leading to a sharp drop in range? Today, I'll tell you how to correctly set up your Tesla for winter, making the AC warm and energy-efficient.
Three Steps to Reduce Energy Consumption & Keep Warm
1. Set the Temperature to 23 Degrees
Actually, Tesla's AC starts heating above 22 degrees. The higher the temperature, the higher the energy consumption.
2. Turn on Heaters
Turn on the steering wheel and seat heaters; they warm up your body faster
3. Turn off the A/C Compressor & Activate Internal Circulation
Turn on the warm air from the AC, Turn off the A/C compressor and activate internal circulation.
Tesla models from 2021 onwards come standard with heat pump AC. When both warm air and A/C are turned on, the AC only helps with dehumidifying and does not help in heating.
